About Christina Retherford
Christian Momma| Loving Wife | Licensed Independent Social Worker

Christina is committed to her faith and hopes to serve God with the gift He has given her. She’s also a passionate advocate for mental health, neurodivergence, and family support. As a loving wife and mother of two small children, she brings a unique blend of professional expertise, personal experience, unwavering faith and creative flair to everything she does.
From Imaginative Child to Empowered Woman
As a shy, imaginative child, Christina found solace in her own world, where creativity was her refuge. Whether it was nature, music, or stories spun from her emotions, she had an innate ability to channel her deep feelings into
something beautiful. As an adult, she realized her ability is more than a safe place. It’s a God given gift meant to be shared with the world.
The Birth of The Little Mind Retreat Series
Christina’s self-study and personal experiences with neurodivergence inspired her to create The Little Mind Retreat Series, an initiative close to her heart. This series is more than a book series. It’s a heartfelt mission to support neurodivergent children and families struggling with overwhelming emotions. Through stories that highlight endearing characters, Christina weaves in her faith, offering guidance and support to those who need it most. Her hope is that these narratives serve as a beacon of light for families navigating intense emotions and feelings.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: YOUR CHILD'S WELL-BEING COMES FIRST
At The Little Mind Retreat, we believe in the power of stories to inspire, captivate, and ignite imagination. However, it's crucial to understand that while Christina holds a license as an independent social worker, her books are not intended as diagnostic tools or treatments for any conditions.
Our enchanting stories are woven purely for entertainment, designed to whisk young minds away on whimsical adventures. They are not meant to identify or address specific mental health concerns.
Remember, the pages of our books are gateways to imagination, not substitutes for professional help. If you suspect your child requires mental health services, we urge you to seek the expertise of a qualified provider. Your child's well-being is our utmost priority, and professional guidance is essential for addressing any challenges they may be facing.
